Oops...we sent a text to The Grinch!


Our 14-year old daughter asked how she could earn money for Christmas because she wants to buy some gifts for family and friends. We have a lot of work to do at Fleauxt, and since she can text about 500 words per minute, we gave her the job of sending one text message to our clients informing them of our Christmas specials.

Usually, when someone does not want to receive our messages, we get a reply, saying “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE.” But the other day, when our daughter was helping us reach our clients, she received the following reply:

Wow...that one hurt! Did we accidentally text The Grinch? Seriously, this dude needs Fleauxt in his life! Although our services help people in many ways, unfortunately, we cannot cure Assholitis.

Fleauxt’s mission is to create a happier and healthier community. When we receive messages such as the one above, it hurts. Fleauxt exists to make Baton Rouge better and I feel like we failed that person. However, if sending that horrible response to us made him feel better, then we didn't fail. It just means we are failing to reach the right people in our community.

On a final note, as a parent, I always teach my daughters to be nice to EVERYONE. You never know what a person is going through. “In a world where you can be anything, BE KIND.”
